CAST

-Avery Dennis    Kenneth Handa

Born on August 13,1995 in Laguna Hills, CA to Robert and Yurika Dennis. Avery spent his early childhood in Charlotte, NC, and Japan. He and his familry moved to Huntington Beach, CA, just before he started his first year of elementary school. When he was in the third grade, his music teacher realized that he had perfect pitch and recommended him to join the All-American Boys Chorus. He joined the Costa Mesa-based boys chorus in March of 2004. Since then, he has been on seven major tours to Canada, all over the U.S. and Asia. He currently attends Dwyer Middle School in Huntington Beach, CA. His hobbies are playing an electric guitar and computer graphics.
-Hunter Dennis     Joseph Handa

Born on October 28, 1996 in Pineville, NC, just south of Charlotte, NC to Robert and Yurika Dennis. Hunter spent his early childhood in Charlotte, NC, and Japan. He and his family moved to Huntington Beach, CA, just before he started kindergarten. He joined the All-American Boys Chorusin March of 2005, a year after Avery. he has been on four major tours to Canada, all over the U.S. and Asia. He currently attends Dwyer Middle School in Huntington Beach, CA. His hobbies are skateboarding, customizing skateboards and card tricks.
-Chris Tashima    Masamichi

Chris is an award-winning actor and Academy Award-winning director from Los Angeles, performing on stage, film and television for 24 years. He plays the romantic lead opposite Joan Chen in Eric Byler's indie feature Americanese, to be released thru IFC, which received a Special Jury Prize for Outstanding Ensemble Cast from SXSW. His stage credits include the originating role in Chay Yew's A Language of Their Own (LA Weekly Theater Award for Ensemble Performance) at the Celebration Theatre. He also originated the role of Holocaust rescuer Chiune Sugihara in Tim Toyama's one-act, Visas and Virtue, at the Road Theatre Company, which he reprised in his screen adaptation for which he received an Academy Award for Live Action Short Film.
-Sab Shimono    Takahiro

Sab Shimono debuted on Broadway playing the role of Ito, in the original cast of "Mame", with Angela Lansbury. Other Broadway credits include the role of Manjiro in original cast of Stephen Sondheim's "Pacific Overtures." Collaborations with writer/director Gotanda span more than 25 years, garnering a 1990 & 1991 New York Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Actor in Gotanda's "The Wash." Sab's other films include "Old Dogs" "Ben 10" "Presumed Innocent", "Waterworld", "The Big Hit", "Sensei", and "Americanese", which premiered at the 2006 Asian American Film Festival in San Francisco. Sab is a former member of The Antaeus Company, and has received awards from LA Weekly, Dramalogue, and a 1975 Clio for Best Actor.
